Section 11 of the Financial Intelligence Agency Act 2007 requires the FIA to maintain financial statements and submit these to the Auditor General for review at the end of each financial year, which is 31 March.
The Auditor General will present the audited statements to the Board of Directors of the audit has been completed.
Thereafter the Audit Reports are submitted to the Minister of Legal Affairs who is responsible for laying them before both Houses of the Legislature (Section 13, Financial Intelligence Agency Act 2007).
Once these Audit Reports have been tabled before the House of Parliament and the Senate, the FIA can then published them.
Quarterly unaudited expenditures of the FIA are avaiilable upon request.
These reports are available for review within three weeks after the eding of each quarter.
